As part of the initiatives of the M3DAS project in Luzon, the team conducted a training workshop for selected enumerators from the Tarlac Mill District on October 1, 2025, at Starhomes Hotel in Tarlac City, Tarlac.
The training workshop aimed to equip the enumerators with the skills and knowledge necessary to navigate the M3DAS Web Survey Application, which they will use to survey sugarcane machines and implements in the Tarlac Mill District.
In addition to the selected enumerators, the training workshop was attended by representatives from the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA) Tarlac Mill District, including their Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Mill District Officer, Engr. Eugenio J. Valencia, and his personnel: Ms. Marife A. Castaรฑeda, Mr. Darryl Austria, and Mr. Ricardo Pangilinan.
The M3DAS project is an initiative by the Center for Agri-fisheries and Biosystems Mechanization (BIOMECH) of the University of the Philippines Los Baรฑos (UPLB), funded by the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD), in partnership with the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA).
