𝘽𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙋𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙮 𝙊𝙣𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙈𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙩’𝙨 𝙈𝙚𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜

As part of the implementation of M3DAS Project Phase 3, the team conducted an online consultation meeting with the Batangas, and Panay Mill District Officers (MDOs) last August 18 and August 19, 2025, respectively. MDOs from these provinces include Mr. Zyrus Oliver P. Montiel and Mr. Michael Kyle B. Romulo, MDOs from Batangas; Mr. Jeno V. Bechayda and Mr. Raymart B. Lasara, MDOs from Panay. Mr. Laverne C. Olalia, Department Manager III of Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA) – Luzon and Mindanao, also supported and imparted inputs in the said session.
The meeting highlighted the need to re-enumerate sugarcane machines and implements across Mill Districts in Batangas and Panay to ensure that the data collected aligns seamlessly with the modifications that have taken place from Phase 2 of the project.
Moreover, the hired enumerators and coordinators from Batangas and Panay undergone a whole-day online training session with regards to the full navigation of the M3DAS Web Survey App. This training was done last August 27, 2025 to ensure that they are well-equipped in using the said application before starting the field surveys.
The M3DAS project is being implemented by the Center for Agri-fisheries and Biosystems Mechanization (BIOMECH) of the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) and is funded by DOST-PCAARRD in collaboration with the DA-SRA.
