On April 16, 2024, the M3DAS team conducted an intensive technical training session at the L’Fisher Chalet in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, focusing on the deployment of the M3DAS Web Survey App.
The session brought together a significant cohort of 58 participants from the Mill Districts of Victorias, BACMUR, HPCO, Sagay-Danao, and Lopez. The delegation included Mill District Officers and Farm Surveyors, with key leadership and support from SRA-Visayas, represented by Chief Agriculturist Ms. Maria Lourdes Almodiente and Supervising Agriculturist Mr. Rex Jinon.
The M3DAS project is a high-impact initiative funded by DOST-PCAARRD and implemented by the UPLB-BIOMECH (Center for Agri-Fisheries and Biosystems Mechanization). In close coordination with the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA), this training serves as a vital step in digitizing field data collection to enhance the mechanization landscape of the Philippine sugarcane industry.
