The M3DAS Phase III Project has officially kicked off its field operations for Year 3, with Cagayan serving as the first stop in the Luzon Region. Currently underway in Tuguegarao City, the team is conducting an intensive training program to mobilize a new cohort of enumerators and coordinators.
Equipping the Digital Field Force
The training is designed to transition Cagayan’s data collection from traditional methods to a sophisticated, paperless system. Participants are undergoing comprehensive sessions on:
M3DAS Web Survey App: Mastering the core interface and navigation for real-time data entry.
Key Features & Functions: Training on GPS-tagging, machinery categorization, and digital photo documentation.
Hands-on Application: Field simulations to ensure enumerators can capture accurate data on sugarcane mechanization resources.
Basic Troubleshooting: Preparing teams to handle technical challenges in areas with limited connectivity.
Institutional Support in the North
The training is being conducted in close coordination with the SRA – Cagayan Robina Sugar Milling Company (CARSUMCO). The project is honored by the presence and support of:
Mr. Timothy P. Amboya (OIC – Mill District Officer)
Engr. Eileen Jan Kate O. Bauit
Ms. Angelie Kate B. Caluducan
Their involvement ensures that the data gathered aligns perfectly with the local milling district’s operational needs and the SRA’s national standards.
